About The Position

Job Purpose: Direct or coordinate production, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, or financial forecasting services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service, or safety. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs. Direct the movement, storage, or processing of inventory. An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation. Summary of Essential Job Duties: Analyzing forecast demand or creating supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products. Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities. Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality. Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service. Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance. Manage vendors to ensure materials arrive when needed. Implement new or improved supply chain processes. Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow. Confer with organizational members to accomplish work activities

Requirements

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Complex problem solving ability, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Knowledge of processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong social and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.
  • Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or relevant field
  • Strong ERP/MRP knowledge.
  • Sound knowledge of inventory/supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand and replenishment processes.
  • Strong communication, presentation, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and must have strong excel skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in working with large box retailers (Walmart, Costco, Cabela's, Dicks, Bass Pro, Sam's Club) and Amazon is a plus.
