About The Position

The Supply Chain Manager oversees daily supply chain operations within the hospital and service areas as directed by the Director of Supply Chain Operations. This role ensures timely receiving, inventory management, and distribution of supplies to support patient care and hospital operations. The manager develops and enforces departmental policies and procedures, monitors performance, and drives process improvements to enhance service and efficiency. This position also supports staff training and development, promotes a strong customer service culture, and collaborates with leadership on resource planning and vendor support as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree: In Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Operational Organization & Resource Management – Proactively prioritizes operational needs, effectively manages staffing, space, and supply resources, and ensures daily workflow efficiency across assigned areas.
  • Professional Communication – Communicates clearly, confidently, and concisely with clinical partners, leadership, vendors, and team members to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.
  • Leadership & Staff Development – Leads teams toward operational goals by setting high performance standards, coaching staff, supporting training initiatives, and reinforcing accountability and service excellence.
  • Customer & Service Orientation – Builds strong, long-term relationships with internal customers by consistently meeting service expectations, resolving concerns quickly, and driving a culture of responsiveness.
  • Execution & Process Oversight – Oversees the planning and execution of complex supply chain processes and initiatives, ensuring consistent, compliant, and high-quality performance.
  • Policy & Procedure Compliance – Demonstrates working knowledge of hospital and supply chain policies, procedures, and systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Technology & Systems Proficiency – Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant supply chain systems (e.g., ERP, inventory platforms, receiving tools) to support reporting, workflow management, and operational decision-making.
  • Financial & Budget Management – Supports cost-effective supply chain operations by managing budgets, monitoring spend, identifying waste, and applying financial tools to improve performance.
  • Project & Continuous Improvement Management – Leads projects, evaluates work activities, and allocates resources appropriately to support operational improvements, service-level enhancements, and performance outcomes.
