About The Position

The Supply Chain Manager at The Boring Company is responsible for overseeing and optimizing supply chain operations at the Las Vegas site. This role focuses on managing supplier relationships, inventory control, logistics, and forecasting to ensure timely delivery of products and services while maintaining high-quality standards and controlling costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and a proven track record of improving end-to-end supply chain processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Materials, and/or Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement, with at least 1-2 years in a lead or managerial role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement improvements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with Construction, Operations, and Engineering teams, suppliers, and executives.

  • 3-4 years leading and growing teams in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Prior experience as a Supply Chain or Purchasing Manager in a Construction environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and drive effective supply chain strategies that align with TBC's goals and projects.
  • Oversee the entire supply chain process in Vegas, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and distribution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms to ensure the best value.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery schedules, or other operational concerns.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet construction/mining demand while minimizing excess stock.
  • Implement inventory tracking systems and practices to improve visibility across all sites in Vegas and prevent stockouts.
  • Oversee the logistics and distribution operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers.
  • Coordinate with distributors for deliveries to sites.
  • Monitor and optimize warehousing and distribution processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop accurate demand forecasts and ensure alignment with production and procurement planning.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain operations and reduce costs.
