They provide leadership to define, implement, and optimize the supply chain strategies and objectives in support of business strategies and objectives. They are responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of the global supply chain resources and activities with respect to service, cost, and investment, and for developing and executing appropriate tactics to ensure performance targets are achieved. This role will coordinate supply chain improvement activities in all aspects of the Source-Plan-Make-Deliver-Return space for the Printing and Packaging and Food and Industrial supply chain activities, and to drive standardization, simplification, and speed across the global supply chain. Supply Chain Managers are expected to work collaboratively with appropriate manufacturing leadership to ensure Make effectiveness, efficiency, and costs are appropriately considered as part of planning and executing the end-to-end supply chain strategy. This role is ultimately accountable for providing leadership to ensure global customer needs are met, and that the supply chain resources support execution of the overall global supply chain plans and strategies. Supply Chain Manager also works with purchasing to ensure balance of inventory, supply, and cost of raw materials.
