About The Position

The Supply Chain Manager II is responsible for leading and optimizing the supply chain operations, ensuring alignment with program and company goals. This role involves managing a diverse team, developing comprehensive material plans, and driving supply chain innovations to support the company’s vision and objectives. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in operations or a related area. Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of related experience is required. Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
  • In-depth working knowledge of Commodity, Category and Sourcing Management.
  • Background in manufacturing timelines and requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand technical requirements.
  • Excellent negotiations skills.
  • Candidate must have Supply Chain Management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certification such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management).
  • Experience working in Supply Chain supporting government contracts.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance.
  • Experience with major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P)/Source-to-Pay (S2P) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of buyers, subcontracts management specialists, and category leads, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Continuously improve the supply base to support program and business area requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategic material plans and forecasts to align with program demands.
  • Partner with executive management, program management, and other departments to ensure supply chain activities meet company objectives.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve supply chain risks and issues.
  • Lead the discovery and implementation of new technologies and processes to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Establish, track, and communicate key performance indicators to ensure supply chain visibility and goal achievement.
  • Prepare and manage capital, contract equipment, and facility requests to meet program and company demands.
