What You Will Do: The Composites Team, a part of Pratt & Whitney’s Global Supply Chain, is looking for a Supply Chain Manager (SCM) in support of the Composites Value Stream. This role is both exciting & challenging. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible to lead a matrixed team of Account Specialists and Buyers while supporting escalations from all Composite suppliers with the support from Quality, Planning, Manufacturing Engineering and CIPT. This requires outstanding project management, problem-solving skills & the ability to build efficient working relationships across the many P&W functional groups; Quality, Materials, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Global Work Share and multiple suppliers. As a Supply Chain Manager your main responsibility will be to foster a positive team culture that fully utilizes the CORE operation system and facilitate an uninterrupted flow of parts to production while meeting specific quality, delivery, and contractual requirements. The position will report to the Value Stream Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Business, Supply Chain or related field with 10 years of experience in Operations, Planning, Supply Chain, Business or related experience; or an advanced degree with 7 years of experience.
  • Working knowledge in SAP / MS Office
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Travel requirements vary between 10-25% annually

Responsibilities

  • Meeting customer requirements by providing timely and accurate updates via the most desired means of communication
  • Provide leadership and engage employees in the business through use of the CORE Operating System
  • Manage PO/SA release process from end to end to support and develop a delivery assurance plan aligned with demand requirements
  • Oversee supplier management of on-time delivery, leading indicator metrics, and capacity ramp plans
  • Responsible for driving results related to key metrics for Global Supply Chain
  • Drive results from start to finish and escalate where necessary related to delivery roadblocks and challenges for Composite suppliers
  • Drive the team to actively use Procurement Manual/Standard Work
  • Comply with all aspects of the Pratt & Whitney Procurement Manual, GSC Standard Work, UTC Code of Ethics, International Trade Compliance, & Transition Standard Work (TSW)
  • Ensure Export Compliance
