The Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator will coordinate raw material, finished goods and other purchasing requirements. The Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator will also oversee the logistics process to ensure purchase orders are delivered on time and received in acceptable condition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant course work or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, shipment consolidation and logistics processes.
  • Ability to work and respond in different time zones as needed.
  • Concise and accurate communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to details and ability to identify inconsistencies.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and scheduling shipments from origin to its final destination and completing all required shipping documentation.
  • Negotiating rates with freight shipping companies, striving towards the goal of lowering shipping costs while ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Working with all departments, from sales to operations, to impact overall operational efficiency.
  • Facilitating communication between production, sales & distribution stages of Purchase Order status, delays, etc.
  • Analyzing and optimizing logistical procedures; ensuring that all processes and procedures align with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Handling and resolving any issues that arise with shipping companies, delayed shipments, etc.
  • Keeping meticulous records of shipment information, invoices, bill of lading, etc.
  • Processing purchase orders & arranging stocking materials based on min/max levels to ensure proper quantities are available on hand.
  • Reviewing stock report with buyers to identify urgency and prioritize delivery.
  • Communicating with Vendors, Freight Forwarder, Custom Brokers, Trucking Companies, and warehouses to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Obtaining, reviewing, verifying shipping documents by assigned vendor.
  • Working together with other buyers to collectively maintain schedules and materials.
  • Reviewing bills with all inbound logistics business partners to ensure accuracy.
  • Assisting in determining the cause for inventory misalignment and shortages and helping develop solutions.
  • Assisting with calls to vendors as assigned for shipment arrangement.
  • Assisting in reviewing assigned vendors on purchasing reports.
