About The Position

Supply Chain Lead as the primary point of contact between suppliers and a business. They are responsible for the procurement of products and goods for use in the business by identifying potential supplier sources, screening them and negotiating favorable payment terms. Other duties include monitoring supplier performance and ensuring contractual obligations are met.

Requirements

• 5 years minimum experience working in procurement or purchasing
• 5+ years of previous supply chain experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or similar relevant field

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with Engineering to receive requisitions, technical evaluations of bids, and technical support during the manufacture and delivery of material.
• Generates and maintains the procurement status report with current procurement information.
• Participates in development of approved project vendors list.
• Prepares commercial analysis of quotations and completes the bid tabulations with freight estimates, shipping points, and commercial terms.
• Notifies awards and issues purchase orders / change orders.
• Expedites receipt of vendor and subcontractor drawings.
• Expedites equipment and materials to ensure deliveries are in accordance with the construction need dates.
• Expedites and reports the progress of vendor's procurement activities, shop schedule, and shipping promise (frequency of contact and level of expediting effort depend on construction need dates and vendor's performance).
• Notifies Project Manager Immediately of all changes in equipment and material shipments.
• Prepares and maintains the procurement status report with current expediting information and issues periodically.
• Prepares and issues expediting reports.
• Coordinates with construction on material and equipment deliveries.
• Leads weekly meetings with vendor and clients to review equipment production status and updates action items for engineering and vendors on that equipment.
• Works with inspection and the clients to coordinate equipment inspections.
• Daily interaction with clients and vendors.
