About The Position

The Supply Chain Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will: Leadership and Management: Drive sustained superior performance, with a focus on continuous process and procedure improvement Develop and manage coordination, collaboration, communication, integration activities and processes between IRES and Government stakeholders Strong and effective communication, problem solving, organizational and delegation skills Provide the appropriate training and guidance of members of the procurement team members across the IRES contract Ensure and promote the development of employees such as succession planning through coaching, training, and leadership development. Operations: Oversee and optimize Supply Chain Coordinators Day-to-day duties and expectations along with assisting in developing processes and procedures. Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless operations, timely management, and cost-effective logistics solutions. Implement strategies to enhance productivity, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Leverage data analytics and supply chain technologies Work closely with Task Order engineers, project managers, technical point of contracts and key stakeholders to ensure teams requirements are met. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to meet organizational objectives. Understanding of hardware and software procurement needs including but not limited to renewals and project takeovers. Assist team in verifying funding availability for renewals. Clear understanding of Bill of Material (BOM) and government proposals Customer Relations: Maintain the highest levels of fairness, business ethics and personal ethical conduct Optimize customer visibility Interface with IRES stakeholders and Government officials Establish transparent, trusting and strategic relations Brief leadership on procurement status, as well as key issues impacting financial and technical performance. Advocate for the customer and identify opportunities to drive growth. Assist in providing technical guidance based on estimates for project takeovers Fostering Employee Engagement: Drive our culture of caring across the department Create an inclusive environment Champion career-enhancing opportunities and talent development Assign, develop, and review performance of personnel. Requirements

  • Must have 10, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
  • May be reduced with completion of advanced education
  • Must have 8, or more, years of direct experience in supply chain fields
  • Must have 5, or more, years of experience in management or leadership roles
  • Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Have a degree in supply chain or business management
  • Have certification(s) in Lean Six Sigma, Defense Acquisition, and/or Federal Acquisition Development Program
  • Have experience with DCMA approved procurement systems
  • Have experience with IT hardware and software procurement
  • Have experience directly supervising teams of 8, or more, people
