About The Position

The Inventory Specialist plays a key role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels across the supply chain. This position ensures that materials and products are properly tracked, stored and replenished to support production, distribution and customer fulfillment activities.

Requirements

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations or supply chain
  • Proficiency in inventory software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with lean inventory practices, principles or Just-In-Time (JIT) systems
  • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment
  • Familiarity with industry-specific inventory standards

Responsibilities

  • Track inventory movements including receipts, transfers and shipments
  • Coordinate with supply chain, production and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records in ERP or warehouse management systems
  • Generate inventory reports and KPIs for continuous improvement with cross-functional teams
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to ensure data accuracy
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, reporting root causes and corrective actions
  • Support audits and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
