About The Position

As a Supply Chain Intern at United Launch Alliance (ULA), you will gain hands-on experience in the aerospace industry by supporting experienced business professionals in various assignments. This internship offers a unique opportunity to shadow operations, assist in procurement processes, and engage in the day-to-day workings of the business side of ULA, contributing to larger projects and building a strong professional network.

Requirements

  • Completed Sophomore year of college or university by the time of the summer internship assignment.
  • Minimum college GPA of 2.90 on a 4.00 scale at the time of application.
  • Valid driver's license and motorized vehicle transportation for certain locations.
  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Acquisition, Contract Management, or a relevant field.
  • Plans to be enrolled in classes during Fall Semester 2025.
  • Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer of 2025.
  • ERP knowledge is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Effective presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support experienced business professionals in performance of assignments and shadow actual operations.
  • Assist in the development of procurement processes, tools, and resources for specialized materials, equipment, and services.
  • Conduct bidders conferences, analyze and evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate subcontract provisions, and create subcontract documents.
  • Coordinate modifications to subcontracts with ULA functional areas and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and internal ULA command media.
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, and finance to mitigate supplier performance risk and resolve issues.
  • Assist in timely resolution of issues with Quality, Receiving, Accounts Payable, Manufacturing, and suppliers.
  • Participate in activities/events to build a strong network within the ULA community.
