The Supply Chain Internship prepares you to be the operational backbone of our product lifecycle. In this internship, you will spend time exploring the end-to-end retail supply network—from sourcing to final delivery—and learn how we execute strategic initiatives that allow the company to scale efficiently. As a Supply Chain Intern, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to track global shipments, analyze transportation data, create network forecasts, manage inventory positioning and identify process improvements so that our logistics network operates with maximum speed and cost-effectiveness. If you have a passion for operations, thrive on solving complex puzzles, and are curious and detail-oriented, this is the internship for you What You’ll Do Opportunity to visit the AEO Inc. Hazelton Distribution Center. During this visit you’ll have the chance to shadow inbound, storage, picking, and outbound processes and identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement Develop an understanding of end-to-end network flow, cost, and service tradeoffs. Inclusive of demand planning, inventory management, allocation and order fulfillment. Learn forecasting methods of transportation modeling and network optimization and participate in network planning reviews to drive efficient labor planning. Learn how inventory flows through DCs, cross-docks, and last-mile channels. Understand how freight moves from vendors to DCs and stores/customers. Monitor and track inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on time delivery, proactively identifying delays and communicating status updates Collect and analyze supply chain data to analyze inbound and outbound productivity such as freight costs, transit time and carrier performance to uncover trends and recommend opportunities for cost savings or speed improvements Utilize various tools for visibility into inventory ownership and distribution flows (Excel, Tableau, GCP, etc.) Present capstone project applying end to end supply chain learnings to solve a real supply chain challenge to leadership teams. Attend and contribute to classes, team meetings, connecting learnings to real-world applications Internship Program Overview Receive a 360° understanding of how products flow from vendor to customer by participating in a rotational program across core supply chain domains including Distribution Center operations, Supply Chain Network Planning and Logistics and Transportation.
