Your Role at Delta Faucet We are seeking a motivated and curious Sourcing Intern to support our Supply Chain organization, with a special focus on exploring and evaluating AI tools that can improve how our Commodity Managers work. This role is ideal for a student interested in supply chain, operations, procurement, or business analytics—especially those excited about how AI can streamline processes, reduce manual work, and elevate decision‑making. You’ll collaborate with Commodity Managers and cross‑functional partners to research emerging technologies, assess potential use cases, pilot tools, and recommend solutions that support strategy development, supplier management, analytics, and continuous improvement. This internship offers hands‑on experience with real business challenges, exposure to global supply chain activities, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful efficiency and innovation initiatives. This position will be full-time May - August 2026 and located in our Carmel, Indiana headquarters.

Requirements

  • Working toward a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Interest in AI tools, automation, and emerging technology—no coding experience required, but curiosity is essential.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI or ERP systems is a plus.
  • A desire to learn, ask questions, and explore innovative ways of doing things.

Responsibilities

  • Support Commodity Managers with daily direct sourcing activities, including supplier research, RFQ preparation, and data collection for active sourcing events.
  • Assist with cost analysis, including price comparisons, outlier analysis, and basic should‑cost modeling for components and materials.
  • Participate in supplier and internal meetings to gain exposure to negotiations, sourcing decisions, and ongoing supplier management activities.
  • Research, identify, and evaluate AI tools that can support the Commodity Management function (e.g., market analysis, cost modeling, supplier performance tracking, RFQ automation).
  • Assist in developing simple prototypes or demonstrations of AI tools and document how they could fit into daily workflows.
  • Support the team with data collection, organization, and light analysis to help build insights into suppliers, cost drivers, and commodity trends.
  • Participate in cross‑functional discussions with engineering, quality, operations, value management, and finance to understand their data and process needs.
  • Help document current processes and highlight opportunities where AI or automation could create efficiencies.
  • Support special projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and other tasks as assigned.
