See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality: Position Overview: As a Supply Chain Management Intern/Hybrid Co-op- you will work collaboratively and independently with highly qualified supply chain professionals who are responsible for managing supplier partners who contribute to the production and manufacture of marine equipment for the recreational boating industry. You will become an integral member of a supply chain team committed to delivering superior results. You'll learn how to work with a team of professionals, working in manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution environment as you own and manage assigned projects. Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a BS program with a major in Supply Chain Operations or Management, Procurement, or a degree related to Supply Chain
  • Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits
  • The ability to enroll in a formalized co-op Program through your University
  • Dependable, self-motivated and engaged learner
  • The ability to coordinate numerous projects in a professional and ethical manner
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States immediately, without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in manufacturing setting preferred
  • Working knowledge of appropriate engineering principles.
  • Must be a self-starter capable of working both independently, as well as part of a team
  • Must be willing to work more than 40 hours per week periodically to complete the job

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective working relationships with your customers, partners and supplier base, both internally and externally.
  • Analyze current material flow within a process or operation to develop and implement improvements, eliminating waste and streamlining the operations.
  • Process weekly MRP and initiate corrective actions as needed to ensure accurate ordering standards and effective inventory control.
  • Collaborate with your peers and supplier base to develop cost effective inventory management practices and reduce inventory through implementation of pull, VMI or consignment programs.
  • Maintain regular partner communications to assess delivery data status, supplier performance, parts deployment, inventory policies and/or continuous improvement efforts.
  • Investigate and resolve invoicing issues to maintain positive supplier relationships, ensure future materials deliveries, maintain required production levels and provide feedback to management regarding any process or systems issues.
  • Engage in and support Commodity Team Meetings and Green Belt/LSS projects as needed.
  • Operate in a global teaming model
  • Supporting current products and launching new products in a diverse product portfolio
  • Actively participate in the robust process of launching a new product in the market and assist with creating promotional activities that out stand the competition
  • Supporting Monthly Talent on Demand report out presentation building within Power Point.
  • Print, Branded Merchandise and Point of Purchase (PoP) competitive quoting.
  • Support analyzing data or conducting outreach to suppliers and stakeholders.
