About The Position

The Global Transportation Import Control team is seeking a seasoned import compliance professional who shares our commitment to upholding compliance while serving our internal and external customers. In this role, the selected will be responsible for conducting internal import document audits, supporting teammates in daily tasks as needed, and coordinating with team lead to identify trends and areas of concern. The ideal candidate will have extreme attention to detail, experience with SAP/GTS, and a deep understanding of import processes and regulations.

Requirements

  • Experience auditing and/or reviewing import documentation for adherence to process documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to apply 19 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) for import processes
  • Demonstrated ability to correctly utilize Harmonized Tariff Schedule US (HTSUS) and supporting publications
  • Demonstrated familiarity with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and CBP-approved additional publications
  • Experience with record keeping and records management

  • Customs brokerage license or equivalent
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience auditing import entries to identify potential discrepancies
  • SAP/ Global Trade Services Tool (GTS) experience
  • Familiarity with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) temporary import/export licenses
  • Familiarity with HTS chapter 98 duty mitigation provisions and their specific requirements
  • Familiarity with Defense Contract Management Agency duty free entry requirements
  • Experience maintaining positive relationships with personnel throughout compliance review process
  • Experience identifying challenges and working collaboratively with adjacent or upstream working groups to improve or resolve
