Foot Locker is looking for Interns to join the Supply Chain team in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. The Supply Chain team is a high functioning team with expertise in inventory management, logistics, and cross functional partnerships that ensures the right products reach the right places at the right time, driving customer satisfaction and business growth. Working with cross-functional teams, the Supply Chain Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Internship role will work support the EHS team in implementing and monitoring safety protocols and procedures across various operations. This internship offers the opportunity to learn about industry safety standards, gain practical experience in hazard identification, and contribute to creating a safer workplace.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate (Rising Junior or Rising Senior) or graduate business student pursuing an Environmental, Health and Safety degree, Engineering, Data Annlytics, MIS, Supply Chain, Logistics or similarly related field.
  • 3.2 GPA
  • Familiarity with safety management systems (SMS) and workplace ergonomics.
  • Knowledge of environmental health and safety (EHS) practices.
  • Effective communication skills for all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Willingness to learn with hands-on experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Summer program located at one of Foot Locker's Distribution Centers working closely with team members and leaders to develop an understanding EHS within the distribution centers.
  • Assist in conducting safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
  • Support the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
  • Help prepare and update safety documentation, such as safety data sheets (SDS), reports, and training materials.
  • Assist in organizing and delivering safety training sessions for employees on topics such as PPE usage, emergency procedures, and hazard communication.
  • Monitor safety performance metrics and contribute to reports for management review.
  • Research and stay updated on new regulations, best practices, and trends in workplace safety.
  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement of safety practices.
  • All other duties as assigned
