About The Position

The Ryder Hiring Our Heroes Fellowship offers a 12-week program designed for transitioning service members to gain hands-on experience in the Supply Chain Solutions division. Participants will manage day-to-day operations, focusing on account efficiency, customer satisfaction, compliance, and employee relations while developing leadership skills in a supportive environment that values military experience.

Requirements

  • Transitioning service member fellows must be within 180 days of transition from military service at the time of the 12-week program.
  • Currently participating in DoD Skillbridge program through the Hiring Our Heroes Fellowship.
  • Three (3) years or more relevant experience in military or other supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field preferred.
  • Two (2) years or more managing and leading direct reports preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the performance of salaried and hourly employees, resolving performance issues and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior management and customers to determine needs and expectations, operating the account to meet those demands.
  • Analyze weekly and monthly P&L statements to determine account profitability and provide financial data and weekly operations reports to senior management.
  • Hold Safety & Security meetings, provide safety training, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
