About The Position

The Supply Chain Coordinator supports the short-term and long-term production planning and scheduling, procurement and inventory management to optimize production cost and efficiency. This includes forecasting, planning, scheduling, optimizing production cycles and minimum order quantity, sourcing, and disposal. This position manages supplier relationships, analyzes data for forecasting and mitigates risks in the supply chain. Actively communicates, diligently follows up, and works with urgency to find solutions. They train and develop their team to support customer needs and company goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office products
  • Expert knowledge in ERP/MRP based systems (experience with Macola 10, a plus)
  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Forecast, Master Schedule, and CRP
  • Vendor Quotes and Contracts, Purchasing
  • Inventory Management, Lot Traceability
  • Bill-of-Resource, Production Reporting
  • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, positively influence and train direct reports, peers, and others.

  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Worker may be exposed to hazards in the workplace such as proximity to equipment conducting extreme heat, moving parts, and electrical current
  • Must be able to work in environment containing allergens (nuts, milk, wheat, etc.)
  • Worker may be exposed to a loud working environment.
  • Occasionally required to lift / push / pull / carry weight up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
  • Exposure to fumes or airborne particles.

Responsibilities

  • Able to effectively work cross departmentally with sales, finance, warehouse, customer service, and production to service our customers
  • Support and supervise staff, ensuring adherence to safety and operational policies
  • Manages and maintains production scheduling
  • Reviews production work orders for completeness and accuracy
  • Monitors stock levels, optimize inventory and returns
  • Review and update supply chain practices in line with company policies, standards, laws, and regulations
  • Acts as part of the team coordinating changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions
  • Creates and maintains inventory cycle count process
  • Performs audits of accurate BOM creation (new and revisions)
  • Assist in implementing cost-savings measures and developing supply chain strategies
