About The Position

As a Full-time Supply Chain Associate at Fastenal, you will engage in various supply chain activities, including managing inventory and supporting business-to-business operations. This role is crucial for ensuring that procurement, sourcing, and quoting functions align with customer needs, ultimately driving business success. The position is based at the Tampa branch and may offer a flexible schedule after initial onboarding and training.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Possess a current full valid driver's license
• Possess or are working towards a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR have customer service or industry related work experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Ability to lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

Responsibilities

• Managing branch inventory levels
• Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs
• Supporting accounts receivable activities
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
