About The Position

Sheridan Community Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare to our close-knit rural community. Our team values personalized care, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence. We are seeking a caring, dependable Supply Chain Assistant to join our patient-centered team. This is a crucial component of the practice. The Supply Chain team member will help maintain all supplies for the hospital. It is their duty to receive orders and maintain supplies in a timely and efficient manner that will make it so that no department runs out of needed operating supplies. This employee must not only be organized but also must be able to communicate efficiently with other employees.

Requirements

  • 1-3 yrs. experience with medical supply and inventory
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff in the facility.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
  • Must be able to work independently while also being a team player.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and address par levels within central supply as well as all departments
  • Communicate with Supply Chain Manager when orders need to be placed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist in bi-weekly and/or monthly reports as requested
  • Assist in maintaining the electronic materials management system
  • Keep track of any supplies that are chargeable to patients and make sure they are properly listed for other employees to notice
  • Create PO numbers for all new vendors as well as review and approve all invoices for AP to process payment.
  • Process and deliver all incoming and outgoing orders to include mail/packages from all carriers.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects.
  • Attend training and meetings as required
  • Maintains awareness of current quality and safety measures on the unit and follows guidelines or reporting measures to ensure safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Knowledge and skills in quality improvement and research methodologies.
  • All other duties as assigned
