Supply Chain Area Senior Manager: This position reports directly to the Director of Global Supply Chain and is accountable for the facilitation and creation of supply chain strategies in key part families. The group that this strategically focused supply chain position exists focuses on mid to long term strategies to position the supply based for success by optimizing variables such as but not limited to capacity, growth, total cost, risk, capability, velocity, and quality. Within this group are some of Global Supply Chain's more senior and skilled Sourcing Specialists, Supplier Technical Engineers, and Business Process Leads. Directly reporting to this position will be multiple one or more Supply Chain Managers accountable for Supply Chain Services and Compliance. This position collaborates and seamlessly communicates with management at all levels. The leader creates a competitive advantage for the enterprise by developing short and long term supply chain strategies and by mitigating risk. In addition, this position works closely with other Solar leaders in Marketing, Business Management, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Services to influence manufacturing / development decisions based on future supply availability / feasibility and product cost impacts.
