The Analyst on the team functions as a primary resource for department chairmen, administrators and regional hospital administration regarding the development of business intelligence tools. You will coordinate with EBI Developers to identify data sourcing and apply business rules in the deployment of dashboards and other BI tools. A caregiver in this position works 8:00 a.m. -- 5 p.m. This is a remote position -- candidates must reside in Ohio, Florida or Nevada.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Two years related experience OR High School diploma/GED and 6 years of database development or analytical experience may substitute for the work experience and education requirements OR Associate’s Degree and 4 years of database development or analytical experience may substitute the work experience and education requirements OR Master’s degree and 1 year of experience may substitute the work experience requirements.
  • Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong computer skills and proficient with various applications including Access, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding data warehousing and t-SQL programming.
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate complex information to administrative leadership.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to research/trouble shoot problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Business Objects and t-SQL programming.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the creation of new operational indicators by identifying process improvement opportunities and utilizing disparate data sources to provide timely, accurate and meaningful decision support tools.
  • Utilize computer skills to maintain complex reporting systems essential to providing timely and accurate reporting.
  • Become an expert in at least two Cleveland Clinic subject matters, including, but not limited to: patient occupancy, patient experience, operating room utilization, Professional Coding, and physician productivity.
  • Serve as a technical resource in the analysis and evaluation of operations and financial functions of clinical areas related to utilization management and operational indicator performance.
  • Interpret and present data analysis results including explanation of statistical and financial techniques used, assumptions made and summary of results.
  • Document methods and interpretation of results for future reference.
  • Create summary and detail reports for online dashboards and other platforms for all levels of the Cleveland Clinic utilizing dashboard software.
  • Ensure the quality and data integrity of reports, making improvements and adjustments as needed.
  • Provide guidance to level I Analysts when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
