About The Position

The Supply Chain Analyst position at 3M involves managing supply chain product flow to meet customer requirements. This role focuses on scheduling procurement and manufacturing, managing inventory levels, and continuously improving planning and scheduling processes. The analyst will collaborate with diverse teams to enhance customer service and supply chain efficiency, utilizing various tools and methodologies to achieve measurable results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
  • Two (2) years of experience in supply chain planning in a private, public, government or military environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Operations Management, and/or Business Administration from an accredited university.
  • Experience with SAP and 3M legacy systems.
  • Two (2) years' experience leading and/or participating on cross-functional teams.
  • APICS certification or willingness to pursue.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt project experience and/or certification.
  • Continuous Improvement Project leadership experience.
  • Advanced data analysis, Microsoft Excel skills, and Power BI skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supply chain product flow to support customer requirements.
  • Schedule procurement and manufacturing for a specified group of products.
  • Manage raw material and semi-finished inventory buffer quantities.
  • Monitor and report capacity requirements, special orders, and stock service levels.
  • Continuously improve the planning and scheduling process.
  • Identify ways to improve customer service, inventory investment, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Deliver targeted service and inventory dollar investment.
  • Lead supply and demand synchronization operational activities with assigned product lines and value streams.
  • Analyze material flow parameters such as safety stock, order quantity, lot size, make cycle frequency, and replenishment interval.
  • Utilize Supply Chain tools and processes, including SAP and legacy systems.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory.
  • Coordinate supply chain activities to ensure successful events and promotions.
  • Partner with Business Supply Chain (BSC) on capacity planning.
  • Execute planning standard work.
