About The Position

At Sugar Foods the Customer is King and the way this is manifested is by providing the highest service levels in the industry. The Supply Chain Analyst plays a crucial role in delivering upon our company mission statement. The Supply Chain Analyst will interface with all facets of the organization from production scheduling, distribution, transportation, customer service and demand planning in order to ensure we deliver the highest service levels in the industry. The person in this role is someone who is comfortable with large amounts of data and has the ability to sort through data and turn it into actions. As a Supply Chain Analyst you will be responsible for making sure the Sugar Foods distribution network is properly balanced so that inventory obsolescence and transportation costs are minimized while at the same time delivering a 99.5% service level to our customers. This role will identify, design, document, change and implement best practices in Supply Chain processes leveraging existing intellectual capital and developing innovative concepts. The Supply Chain Analyst will drive changes identified by communicating effectively with other members of the team and at the same time managing and leading projects to completion. The person in this role will be successful by setting timelines for the team, holding the team accountable to those timelines and then following up to ensure changes implemented are working as expected.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Knowledge of data mining, statistical analysis, and/or demand forecasting
Intellectual curiosity for getting at the underlying story being told within the data
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
Ability to persuade, inform, and influence others based on findings. A track record of taking complex results and communicating them in an easily understood way.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and techniques
Knowledge of and experience with one or more of: Procurement processes Inventory management principles Demand planning Category management Quality assurance methods
Strong ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities
Effective problem-solving and complex data analysis skills, Creativity in problem solving

Responsibilities

Review & adjust stock transfers to firm production quantities.
Coordinates and manages activities for inter-company stock transfers from sister plants and 3rd party finished goods suppliers
Balances inventory based on order demand / forecast / average weekly movement to safety stock levels at all consumption facilities
Monitor inventory levels across the supply network and communicate any potential shortages or items at risk to Customer Care and Supply Chain associates
Coordinate and manage activities for raw material transfers
Monthly Inventory reconciliation with 3rd Party Warehouses
Review promotional / LTO activity out of 3rd party warehouses to ensure there are adequate inventory levels to support
New product / customer setups at 3rd party warehouses
Ensure Stock Transfer Efficiency - % Utilization
Analyze root cause and adjust for improvement of prior non-efficient transfers
Periodic review of DRP Planning Parameters
Daily review with production schedulers
Evaluate production and stock transfer amounts with demand planners to insure proper inventory carry across network
Leverage data analytics tools to create new dashboards, reports, and any additional ad-hoc requests
Identify items where the forecast may be inaccurate and work to correct and identify root cause.
Monitor, track and improve inventory turns and obsolescence
Identify opportunities to consolidate low velocity items and then put together the rationale for consolidation for presentation to sales and demand planning
