Salary $68,000 - $80,000 annually Job Summary: The Supply Chain department creates value for Makita and its customers planning inventory to efficiently meet customer’s needs, while effectively using Makita’s resources. The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for supporting demand forecasting and supply planning to help ensure inventory and service level goals are met. This role collects and analyzes data, monitors supply chain performance, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to help maintain efficient and accurate supply chain operations.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and support supply chain decisions.
  • Understanding of statistical forecasting methods and demand planning principles.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication, including collaboration across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office as well as experience with ERP systems
  • Understanding of supply chain principles, including inventory management, import processes, and vendor coordination.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter, able to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university.
  • 2+ years combined experience (and education) in supply chain, forecasting or business analytics.

Nice To Haves

  • ASCM or IBF Certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop SKU-level, monthly demand forecasts using historical data and market inputs.
  • Support consensus-based forecasting by gathering input from Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Translate demand plans into purchase plans, manage purchase orders, and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Monitor inbound shipments, review documentation for accuracy, and update ERP system records to support visibility and on-time delivery.
  • Generate and distribute regular supply chain reports and analyses on forecast performance, inventory health, and customer fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of supply chain processes.
