The Supply Chain Analyst position is crucial for providing analysis, reporting, and insights that support both short- and long-term production planning, capacity planning, and logistics within a business unit. This role is integral to the enterprise Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, requiring a strong technical aptitude to learn and operate Oracle's Cloud Fusion Enterprise Requirement Planning (ERP) toolset. The analyst will be responsible for creating and maintaining the planning configuration necessary to generate a feasible production plan on a weekly basis, fostering a solution-oriented mindset within the Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) weekly responsibilities. In terms of production planning, the analyst will develop a comprehensive understanding of the operations, production assets, product attributes, and the strategic intent of the business unit they support. This understanding will be reflected in the configuration of ERP tools to publish a high-quality Master Production Schedule (MPS) weekly. The role involves close collaboration with Demand Planning and Production Scheduling teams to transform exceptions and analytics into actionable insights that enhance business performance as part of the S&OE and S&OP processes. The analyst will also support the monthly S&OP process by providing recommended solutions that drive decision-making and deliver results across key performance indicators (KPIs) for the business. This requires the ability to present complex scenarios to cross-functional partners in a concise manner, tailored to their time availability and familiarity with production requirement planning. Additionally, the role includes inventory management responsibilities, where the analyst will provide exception reporting and insights to support the supply team in delivering an optimized inventory plan for finished goods based on forecasted demand, inventory targets, and service level expectations over the full planning horizon. As a team member, the analyst will participate in the ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies, ensuring best practices are coordinated among all team members. Familiarity with Simmons' established operating systems, including quality, security, and LEAN principles, is essential. The analyst must understand their role in supporting these systems and communicate any concerns or improvement ideas. The position may also require performing other duties as necessary to support business objectives, emphasizing the importance of creativity and flexibility in the role. Physical activities include entering and locating information on a computer, visually verifying information, and communicating with customers, vendors, or employees. The analyst may also need to present information to groups and move about in various environments, including manufacturing and office settings. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required as needed by the facility.
