About The Position

The Supply Chain Analyst Intern supports manufacturing supply chain operations through data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This role provides hands-on exposure to demand planning, inventory control, procurement, production planning, and logistics while developing analytical and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in supply chain or warehouse operations.
  • Basic understanding of procurement, inventory control, or warehouse operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, sorting, filtering, data entry).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Exposure to ERP/MRP systems preferred but not required.
  • Ability to learn new systems and software quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Basic problem-solving skills with the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and performing basic calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Support inventory management and material control processes:
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to identify potential shortages.
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities within the warehouse.
  • Update inventory records in ERP/MRP systems to ensure data accuracy.
  • Identify and report slow-moving, excess, or obsolete inventory.
  • Support tracking of safety stock levels and reorder points.
  • Assist warehouse operations and material flow coordination:
  • Help track inbound shipments and verify receipt of materials against purchase
  • Support documentation of material receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
  • Assist in monitoring warehouse stock organization and location accuracy.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely material availability for production.
  • Help track key warehouse metrics such as inventory accuracy and on-time material staging.
  • Provide day-to-day support for procurement activities within the manufacturing environment:
  • Assist in creating and updating purchase orders under supervision.
  • Track open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on delivery dates.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records, pricing information, and order confirmations.
  • Support buyers with basic cost comparisons and data entry tasks.
  • Help resolve simple invoice discrepancies by coordinating with procurement and accounting teams.
  • Other related duties as assigned
