About The Position

Within our Corporate Supply Chain Finance team located in Denver - Leprino is seeking a Supply Chain Accountant (Distribution) to move our organization to even larger levels of cheese and dairy ingredient growth! Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Accounting degree or three or more years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting for freight, storage, or supply chain costs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel up to 5%.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with SAP, especially in CO-PA or related modules.
• Accounting experience in distribution, transportation, or supply chain operations.
• Advanced Excel skills, including building models and creating efficiencies across datasets!

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end pallet inventory journal entries and record freight, storage, and variance adjustments.
• Maintain freight claim accounts, ensuring accurate clearing balances when payments or write-offs occur.
• Calculate excess freight costs and book freight rate variances for financial statements.
• Balance SAP CO-PA (controlling module - profitability analysis) sub-ledgers during month-end close.
• Provide detailed information on freight claim accounting to support allowance evaluations.
• Build efficiencies into close processes with a continuous improvement mindset!
• Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis and scorecard/KPIs to Supply Chain and Operations Accounting leadership.
• Review and analyze your work for accuracy before final submission.
• Share accounting insights with partners in Product Management, Traffic, Procurement, and Operations FP&A.
• Perform account reconciliations as well as assist with census reporting.
