About The Position

The Boeing Company Boeing Global Services (BGS) Distribution Business is seeking a Supply Base Specialist (Associate, or Experienced). The focus will be on managing our supplier performance and ensuring orders deliver on time to satisfy customer needs while working complex recovery and mitigation plans to avoid risk to overall program schedule. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate (Level 2) or Experienced (Level 3) Supply Base Specialist. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options: Dallas, TX.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in working with cross-functional teams.
  • 3+ years of experience managing subcontracted efforts and supplier performance throughout the life-cycle.
  • 3 + years of experience working with customer and supplier requirements to support program deliveries (e.g., planned versus unplanned demand, economic order quantity, resource planning, material type, manufacture or purchase, lead times)
  • 3+ years working with suppliers.
  • 1+ years of experience in leading complex opportunity capture and problem solving
  • The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, if applicable.
  • Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • This position will require a credit check.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of work related Bachelor’s Degree – Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field of study
  • 1+ years of experience of strategic sourcing objectives including supply base optimization, enterprise leveraging, supplier performance improvement and business considerations to develop the company's supplier base.
  • 1+ years of experience building and using industry knowledge for planning and performance accomplishment. This includes knowledge of competition and strategic partners.

Responsibilities

  • Leads supplier/subcontractor business relationships, program requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations.
  • Manages and monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
  • Leads the development of mitigations plans to avoid risk and resolve issues impacting customers and programs.
  • Develops and implements supplier base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategies.
  • Analyzes supplier and business processes and procedures to identify improvement opportunities and incorporate into contracting strategies.
  • Acts as primary point of contact for suppliers, customers and programs.
