About The Position

The Demand Planner plays a critical role in driving accurate forecasting and demand planning across product categories. This role serves as a key liaison between Sales, Product Marketing, Supply Planning, and Finance, ensuring alignment between forecast models and corporate targets. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a strong understanding of forecasting systems and supply chain operations. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Sales and Operations Planning and is based Onsite out of our San Diego/Carlsbad office. As the Demand Planner, you will have an opportunity to: Create and maintain 12-month rolling SKU/customer forecasts using historical data, current order trends, and statistical models. Review and validate global and regional demand signals across multi-channel seasonal demand. Lead the Sales Analysis process to identify risks and opportunities in forecast-to-demand translation. Support the annual financial planning and budgeting process, including evaluation of new and end-of-life planning. Conduct SKU analysis to develop seasonal line architecture targets for Product Marketing. Collaborate with Product and Merchandising teams to guide seasonal buy planning and delivery timelines. Attend monthly planning and merchandising meetings. Track and report KPIs and objectives to leadership. Develop and maintain dashboard reporting for continuous supply chain improvement. Ensure successful monthly forecast load and push to SAP. Review and adjust forecast deviations, identify key variance drivers, and communicate risks and opportunities. Identify IT issues and communicate backup plans to the team.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Economics, Finance, Math, Business, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Planning or Analytics (CPG preferred).
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, analytics, and Sales & Operations Planning.
  • Proven success in cross-functional team projects and leadership.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in SAP (or other ERP systems) and Excel.
