About the position

The Supplier Relationship Analyst at Staples plays a crucial role in supporting various Supply Chain projects and tasks. This position involves monitoring vendor inventory data, analyzing vendor performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with Supply Chain execution. The analyst will assist with vendor communication and system setup to enhance customer experience, requiring strong analytical skills and effective communication across management levels.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing Drop Ship vendor data feeds to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Assisting in the development of a Daily Fill Rate validation report to track Drop Ship data from vendors and create a compliance tracker.
  • Providing FBA support including Vendor Letter communications and Galaxy system setup.
  • Ensuring vendors operate in accordance with Staples Supplier guidelines.
  • Partnering with internal Supply Chain teams to drive efficiencies.
  • Providing direction to suppliers through regular dialogue and ad hoc issue resolution.
  • Communicating and escalating critical vendor supply chain issues to minimize customer impact.
  • Monitoring Key performance indicators and implementing plans to mitigate supply chain challenges.
  • Building and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships with Merchandising teams.
  • Partnering with the Analytics team to automate reporting currently produced manually.
  • Leading ad hoc Supply Chain projects with vendors to improve service and drive productivity.
  • Facilitating onboarding meetings with new suppliers to overview Staples Routing Guide and shipping guidelines.
  • Partnering with the E3 team and Inventory Management on updating SBG Lead-Times in the AS400.
  • Facilitating updates in the AS400 for any ship point, SOPT, or lead-time changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects.
  • Experience working with Supply Chain Planning and Inventory Management systems.
  • Understanding of fundamental replenishment processes.
