The Supplier Quality Representative (SQR) is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes of subcontractors involved in the Spent Fuel Handling Recapitalization Project (SFHP) Facility construction activities. This role involves direct observation and oversight of subcontractors' implementation of their NQA-1 quality assurance program, ensuring compliance with quality requirements throughout the procurement, manufacture, and construction phases. The SQR will work closely with various internal departments and subcontractors to address quality issues, improve processes, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

  • Develop a strategy and arrangements for independent observations/oversight activities to ensure subcontractor quality compliance.
  • Schedule, perform, and record direct observations and oversight of activities affecting quality.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations based on analytics.
  • Generate and issue daily oversight reports, weekly progress reports, and monthly metrics related to subcontractor compliance performance.
  • Facilitate and support interfaces with internal and external customers on subcontractor quality matters.
  • Review subcontractor's submittal documentation for compliance with contract requirements.
  • Perform in-process document reviews to support expedited turnover of records upon completion of work.
  • Audit subcontractor-delivered quality documentation for completeness and compliance with project requirements.
  • Perform subcontractor quality system assessments and performance evaluations.
  • Identify and evaluate subcontractor trends in process conformity and analyze subcontractor data.
  • BS in Quality/Business/Technical/Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university and five years of applicable experience; or ten years of applicable experience in the nuclear quality industry.
  • Working knowledge of applicable nuclear codes and standards, including 10 CFR 830 Subpart A, DOE Order 414.1D, and ASME NQA-1-2008/ASME NQA-1a-2009 Addenda.
  • Certified Nuclear Lead Auditor credentials or ability to obtain within one year.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with personnel across multiple organizations.
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and schedule work to meet requirements and deadlines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Codes, Standards, and Regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Systems.
  • Experience in Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD).
