Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer in the aerospace and defense industry
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards, such as AS9100 and ISO 9001
  • Familiarity with supplier qualification and auditing processes
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results

Responsibilities

  • Identify continuous improvement initiatives in Supplier Quality Processes to improve Return to Vendor Cycle Time, reduce slow-moving inventory levels, and Improve Supplier Containment
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and maintain quality standards for materials and components used in our aerospace and defense products
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement effective solutions
  • Provide guidance and support to suppliers in implementing quality improvement initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in supplier quality management
