Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering or Quality Management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality management, quality assurance, or manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001/AS9102).
  • Experience with shop floor systems (SAP, Team Center, Solumina, or similar manufacturing software).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Quality Engineering tools (Control Plan, Validation, PFMEA, PPAP).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Working knowledge of quality/data evaluation programs such as Minitab.
  • Thorough knowledge of inspection equipment & methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply statistical & other data analysis techniques.
  • Self-motivated individual requiring minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lead/work in partnership with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that products and components sourced from suppliers meet the required quality standards.
  • Work closely with suppliers, Research & Development, Operations, and the Supply Chain teams.
  • Lead quality audits and resolve supplier-related issues.
  • Facilitate supplier process improvement.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers and act as a liaison between the customer and the suppliers.
  • Review and assess supplier processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with vendor facilities to evaluate their manufacturing processes, systems, and capabilities.
  • Develop applicable quality tracking reports to monitor supplier performance.
  • Facilitate suppliers performing root cause analysis and institute corrective and preventive action.
  • Lead the determination and execution of first article inspections (FAI).
  • Review incoming inspection results for components and finished goods from vendors.
  • Recommend and implement improvements and preventive measures to ensure conformance with QMS requirements.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain and Operations team to provide supplier-quality engineering support.
  • Collaborate to establish supplier quality requirements.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $65,000 - $75,000.
