We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Wichita, Kansas. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products and components from our suppliers, implementing quality control measures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain supplier quality management systems and procedures
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Analyze supplier performance data and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes
  • Perform root cause analysis on supplier quality problems and implement preventive measures
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier quality
  • Participate in new product development projects to ensure supplier quality requirements are met
  • Provide technical support and training to suppliers on quality-related matters
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports on supplier quality activities
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to quality management
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
  • 3+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering or related field
  • Technical SAP knowledge is required
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, particularly ISO 9001
  • Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis techniques
  • Experience in conducting supplier audits and assessments
  • Familiarity with CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for supplier visits and audits
  • Experience in manufacturing or aerospace industry preferred
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) preferred
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification preferred
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management
  • Understanding of quality control methodologies and best practices
