appliance industry. GHSP is currently hiring a Supplier
Quality Engineer
to join
our Manufacturing team in Grand Haven.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in quality curriculum or Industrial technology required.
• 1-3+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering.
• Experience with TS16949/IATF16949, PFEMA, SPC, Metrology, Blueprints, MSA, PPAP, project Management.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering general or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages Supplier PPAPs – Coordinates submittal and disposition of Supplier PPAPs post SOP utilizing the PPAP database. Communicates with product development teams the status of component PPAPs within their commodity.
• Manages the Supplier PTR Corrective Action Process – For supplier-caused issues, the position will work with the PTR author to make sure the problem description is thoroughly understood. The position will work directly with the supplier to review and approve the corrective action activities, from root cause analysis through implementation.
• Reviews and evaluates Supplier systems/controls plans – Reviews and suggest improvements in supplier systems to facilitate improvements in performance. In some cases, a stronger influence or demand will be needed with troubled suppliers.
• Supplier Audits – Conducts on site audits of permanent corrective actions to verify the real effectiveness of improvements. Works with the supplier to increase their understanding and ability to improve product and process capabilities using solid problem-solving techniques.
