The Supplier Quality Engineer will implement and maintain supplier quality processes and documentation in accordance with AS9100, leveraging business systems functionalities to drive process efficiency and effectiveness. This role involves working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and supply chain to ensure supplier flow down and compliance to QMS, customer, industry, regulatory/statutory, and any applicable requirements. The engineer will maintain approved suppliers, provide technical guidance, support, and training to ensure alignment to requirements for execution, and collaborate with design engineering to ensure suppliers design for manufacturability (DFM) considerations are incorporated. Additionally, the role includes performing nonconformance investigations, supporting disposition of nonconformances, monitoring supplier corrective actions, establishing and analyzing supplier performance metrics, and identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Implement and maintain supplier quality processes and documentation in accordance with AS9100.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and supply chain to ensure supplier compliance.
  • Maintain approved suppliers including qualification, performance review, and risk assessment.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to suppliers.
  • Collaborate with design engineering for manufacturability considerations.
  • Perform nonconformance investigations and drive corrective actions.
  • Support disposition of nonconformances including rework and scrap.
  • Monitor and drive supplier corrective actions requests (SCARs).
  • Establish and analyze supplier performance metrics.
  • Use performance data to drive strategic partnerships and develop supplier capability.
  • Perform supplier site audits and source inspections.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of supplier quality experience in aerospace and defense industries.
  • Experience managing suppliers for space-grade machining, PCBs, PCBAs, integrated assemblies, and test.
  • Demonstrated skills in supplier management, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation and requirements.
  • Experience with certified quality management systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
  • Expertise in root cause analysis methodologies and corrective action implementation.
  • Experience with aerospace and electronics manufacturing.
