About The Position

Own supplier quality across the purchased-part lifecycle. You’ll be the day-to-day “window to the supplier” for APQP and serial quality topics, driving PPAP/ISIR approval, audits, run@rate, complaint resolution, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Production within automotive/manufacturing industry.
  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Expertise in APQP, PPAP, and ISIR processes.
  • Proficient in FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, initial sampling, Run@Rate, and inspection methods.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and requirements.
  • Skilled in product and process auditing, problem-solving, and capability analysis tools.
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP-QM systems.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

  • VDA 6.3 auditor certification (or equivalent).
  • Experience training suppliers in DOE, continuous improvement, or lean methodologies.
  • Familiarity with customer-specific requirements and component cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead risk assessments for purchased parts and suppliers; launch APQP and maintain PRFPP.
  • Ensure timely supplier APQP progress; coordinate technical & quality requirements between internal teams and suppliers.
  • Verify ISIR/PPAP packages and parts, align on deviations with Engineering and stakeholders.
  • Perform production readiness checks (incl. Run@Rate) and process/product audits; manage requalification.
  • Plan/oversee Incoming Goods Inspection (IGI): control plans, quarantines, sorting, rework.
  • Own supplier complaints (8D/RPS), validate corrective actions, escalate where needed (CSL1/CSL2).
  • Track supplier performance (VRS), drive improvement programs and worst-supplier reviews.
  • Coordinate supplier-related deviations/changes via Technical Change Management (TCM).
  • Exercise stop-shipment authority for nonconforming/safety/environmental risks.
  • (If applicable) Lead IGI team staffing, development, and budgeting.
