About The Position

The position involves ensuring that appropriate Quality Systems are established and sustained, which includes managing specifications, Statistical Process Control (SPC), methods for dealing with discrepant material (Material Review Board - MRB), process change management, and supplier quality. The role also requires the establishment, maintenance, and improvement of fab quality metrics with a goal of driving to zero defects, as well as addressing customer complaints related to IQA failures, field returns, RMA requests, and FA requests. Additionally, the position supports supplier quality activities by ensuring that incoming materials meet specification requirements and collaborates with Procurement and Fab engineering to qualify new materials. Compliance verification is another key responsibility, which involves performing internal audits of systems and processes. The quality team monitors compliance through audits and drives continual improvement activities, including corrective action requests and active participation on improvement teams. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, root cause analysis, and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers and suppliers are essential. Working constructively with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental goals is also extremely important.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics with 3 - 5 years of related work experience in a wafer fabrication environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with tools such as 8D's, 5S, FMEA, Poka-Yoke, etc.
  • Understanding of statistical tools (SPC, DOE) for data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional continuous improvement activities/teams.

Nice To Haves

  • ISO/IATF-16949 Auditor/Lead Auditor certification/experience is a plus.
  • ASQ Certification as CQM, CQE and/or CRE and/or formal Six Sigma training (Green/Black Belt certification) would also be a plus.

Responsibilities
