About The Position

As a Supplier Quality Engineer within our Manufacturing & Operations Practice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring supplier quality excellence across aerospace and manufacturing projects. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement robust quality management systems to enhance supplier performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in supplier quality management
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • Us Citizen or Green Card holder or Permanent Resident

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace or manufacturing industries
  • Demonstrated expertise in quality management systems, tools, and methodologies including APQP, PPAP, 8D, and root cause analysis techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify complex quality issues and develop effective solutions
  • Experience in implementing and tracking KPIs to measure supplier performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Excellent project management capabilities with proven success in leading cross-functional improvement initiatives
  • Financial acumen with skills in cost management, analysis, and reconciliation
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders including suppliers, engineering teams, and management
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously while maintaining a results-oriented approach

Responsibilities

  • Implementing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and guarantee the quality of supplier activities on aircraft assembly sites, providing data-driven insights to drive decision-making
  • Leading problem-solving initiatives and continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, and Lean Six Sigma to enhance the performance of supplier activities
  • Managing and controlling costs of cabin parts repairs through rigorous analysis and liability determination, collaborating with finance teams to ensure cost-effective solutions
  • Conducting comprehensive supplier evaluations, audits, and developing corrective action plans to address quality issues and prevent recurrence
  • Performing root cause analysis for complex quality issues related to supplier activities, implementing sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence
  • Supporting autonomous cross-collaboration within your team and across departments, promoting collective learning and development to drive quality excellence
  • Traveling to supplier sites and manufacturing facilities as needed to conduct audits, resolve issues, and build strong supplier relationships
