About The Position

Drive Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) activities for assigned suppliers within the Controls and Accessories commodity. Areas of focus include supplier management, RCCA, problem solving, quality planning, and source substantiation. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years (quality) experience + minimum of 3 years (quality) experience

Responsibilities

  • Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development with a focus on Supplier Quality Engineering.
  • Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.
  • Production quality ownership for hardware within the Controls and Accessories Organization including components such as electronics, mechanicals, fluid systems, air systems, valves, actuators, etc.
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
  • Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.
  • Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
  • Uses some judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems.
  • Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis.
  • Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
  • Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
