About The Position

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing supplier quality programs to ensure that purchased materials and components consistently meet company standards. This role involves leading supplier qualification, selection, and continuous improvement processes in collaboration with procurement and engineering teams. The engineer will conduct supplier audits, evaluations, and performance reviews to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements, while also monitoring supplier performance metrics and implementing improvement strategies. Additionally, the role requires working closely with suppliers to resolve nonconformance issues and provide technical guidance to align with product specifications and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage supplier quality programs.
• Lead supplier qualification, selection, and continuous improvement processes.
• Conduct supplier audits, evaluations, and performance reviews.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and implement improvement strategies.
• Work closely with suppliers to resolve nonconformance issues.
• Provide technical guidance to suppliers.
• Control and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
• Conduct internal audits and lead corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives.
• Coordinate root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
• Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure quality control metrics are tracked, reported, and acted upon.
• Champion adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain required certifications and lead preparation for external audits.
• Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders for regulatory submissions.
• Stay ahead of evolving laws, standards, and industry requirements.
• Oversee document control systems to manage engineering drawings and records.
• Streamline the document revision process.
• Maintain and audit document repositories.
• Support creation, revision, and formatting of controlled documents.
• Verify compliance of all documents with regulatory standards.
• Train staff on document control procedures.
