About The Position

Direct supplier quality development and improvement activities as required with both KIA GEORGIA suppliers and internal departments. Direct suppliers on a regular basis in the areas of Development and Quality to help optimize processes, address concerns, and plan for future activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
• Two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in the quality control, quality assurance, or development field in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
• OEM or parts components supplier experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in both exercising company decisions and carrying out essential job duties.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
• Experience with SAP system preferred.
• Knowledge of supply chain and accounting processes and practices.
• In depth knowledge of Quality Systems such as PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, SIX SIGMA, TPS, APQP, ISIR, SPC, 8D and ISO.

Responsibilities

• Short Term Supplier Quality Management.
• In Line Quality Rate / Downtime / PPM.
• Daily Issue management (Confirm issue, check countermeasure, verify effectiveness).
• Long Term Supplier Quality Management.
• Field Claim.
• Supplier Process Audit.
• BMS Management.
• Monthly TS Reports.
• Supplier Score Card Management.
• Supplier Quality CFT Meeting.
• Other duties as assigned.
