About The Position

United Holdings Oklahoma City is Now Hiring a Supplier Quality Control Engineer located at 10000 NW 2 nd , Oklahoma City, OK 73127. The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will be responsible for ensuring that all materials and services provided by external suppliers meet the company's quality standards. This role involves implementing quality assurance processes, conducting audits, and collaborating with suppliers to address and resolve quality issues. The SQE will work closely with the production, engineering, quality, research and development, and procurement teams to ensure seamless integration of supplier quality into the overall manufacturing process.

  • Must be able to complete and maintain certifications and/or safety training.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality engineering, preferably in the oil and gas or energy generation sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs.
  • Ability to occasional climb ladders and crawl underneath equipment
  • Work in the office, shop floor, and test site settings.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Occasionally exposed to cold, heat, noise, mechanical/electrical fumes, or odor.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers.
  • Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Management Systems (QMS): Develop and enforce supplier quality plans to ensure consistent quality of supplied materials and components.
  • Supplier Evaluation and Approval: Assess, support, and process supplier approvals and re-approvals. Conduct comprehensive reviews of potential suppliers to ensure they meet required standards before approval.
  • Auditing and Compliance: Develop, implement, and audit risk-based annual quality control audit plans and schedules. Conduct and lead supplier, internal, and external compliance audits (e.g., GMP, ISO).
  • Product Development Support: Function as a key member of the product development team, representing the Supplier Quality function. Support design control aspects of product quality, program management, and quality planning from product design through manufacturing.
  • Process Verification and Validation: Provide input on appropriate statistical methods, test methodologies, and equipment. Coordinate testing and manage resulting documentation, including process validation and equipment qualification.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in supplier quality processes. Collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
