The Supplier Quality Analyst provides strategic and tactical support to Manufacturing by executing quality activities such as: Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process, Supplier development activities, Corrective Actions (SCARS), reporting to maintain and improve customer satisfaction, eliminate errors and improve efficiency. As a result, the Procurement Team depends on the Supplier Quality Analyst to be fully engaged with the global supply base to ensure that all direct purchased materials meet performance specification requirements and do so over time to eliminate line downs, recalls, or other quality failures resulting in customer dissatisfaction.

  • Independently, and in collaboration with assigned suppliers within the global supply base, process and execute quality activities.
  • Maintain effective business communications/relationships with suppliers and internal customers to understand any quality impacts to production.
  • Serve as a consultative resource and collaborative partner to both customers and suppliers.
  • Process PPAP submissions to enable timely new product shipments.
  • Handle tactical quality issues with assigned suppliers.
  • Review Corrective Action submissions to verify root cause analysis is complete.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely, accurate and consultative manner.
  • Conduct supplier quality performance analysis and proactively provide insightful information.
  • Analyze and evaluate supplier PPM performance to provide optimal solutions.
  • Support Manufacturing by performing and/or coordinating the initial sort and/or inspection of suspect parts.
  • Issue Corrective Actions to suppliers for identified discrepant materials.
  • Document materials rejected due to quality issues to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Verify the materials received correspond to the documentation provided with the shipment.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas.
  • Work directly with suppliers to perform audits against standards.
  • Develop processes and systems with suppliers to assure maintenance/continual improvement of quality.
  • Associate's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field required or technical certifications with equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, operations, quality engineering environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in engine or engine component manufacturing or assembly preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of blueprint analysis including GD&T.
  • Understanding of quality concepts & tools to include problem solving techniques.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, attention to detail & time management skills.
  • BS/BA in supply chain management, business, engineering or related field preferred.
  • ASQ supplier quality technician certified is preferred.
  • Lean six sigma Green or Black Belt certification with project experience is preferred.
