About The Position

Specific Job Description: Support the Software Inspection process for Supplier Inspection. Primary duties include: Translate engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements; review and analyze corrective action reports and purchase orders in an effort to reduce and eliminate defects; perform software reviews on a variety of different commodities and control levels that range from raw materials to finished products, during quality inspection processes. Experience using SAP is preferred. General Template Job Description: Plans, organizes, directs and reports on all supplier quality-related activities such as raw materials, packaging materials, good manufacturing practices (GMP) service providers, as well as contract manufacturers, and/or contract manufacturing and laboratories to assure fulfillment of contract/purchase order requirements. Assures that customer quality-imposed technical requirements are adhered to by supplier and that a quality system is maintained. Conducts programs designed to improve supplier performance, productivity, and process validation. Prepares, maintains and reviews procurement quality assurance procedures to assure compliance with customer and/or government requirements. May perform deviation investigations into quality issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
  • Experience using SAP is preferred.
