About The Position

Build a zero-defect mindset across launch, production, and the supply base You’re driven by the challenge of complex problems and the satisfaction of getting to true root cause. In this mission-focused role, you’ll orchestrate launch quality, strengthen supplier performance, and elevate our QMS so customers get reliable, compliant products every time. Your Mission Launch with discipline: Use APQP to stand up robust processes for new products. Author and maintain PFMEAs/DFMEAs, Control Plans, process flows, and work instructions. Protect the line: Partner with Operations and Engineering to keep supply uninterrupted. Review product data, lead SPC-driven actions, and support injection molding, stamping, and light assembly. Resolve with data: Lead internal and customer-facing investigations. Define scope with targeted testing, document the story, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions. Elevate the supply base: Review and approve supplier PPAPs to AIAG standards, assess corrective actions, and drive closure. Own the measurement truth: Serve as SME for metrology, measurement systems, GR&R, capability analysis, and SPC. Guide correct GD&T and tolerance methodologies on drawings. Verify compliance: Ensure FMVSS, ECE, ISO, and SAE testing is executed correctly, in-house or via accredited labs. Strengthen the system: Implement, maintain, and improve our QMS to ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949; conduct internal audits; and drive COQ/COPQ improvements. And more: Take on additional duties as assigned by the Quality Manager. A Scenario You’ll Own A global OEM flags a dimensional drift in a subassembly. You convene a cross-functional team, validate measurement systems (GR&R), analyze capability, and map the process flow to isolate variation.
