Responsibilities

  • Advance our ability to improve supply chain stability with a single and efficient regional mindset.
  • Lead NA Crisis mitigation and countermeasure for OEM Suppliers and manage supplier performance.
  • Participate in broad scope projects and handle complex supplier situations.
  • Collaborate with Suppliers and other Honda Business Units to achieve supplier stability.
  • Minimize supplier touchpoints through optimizing activity.
  • Summarize each supplier situation including issue, impact, root cause, and countermeasures.
  • Initiate/support situation appraisal and analysis of a supplier crisis on a specific part or assembly process.
  • Coordinate and support implementation of immediate corrective action plans at critical suppliers.
  • Support communication, interaction, and summary reviews with supplier and HDMA Management.
  • Complete reporting and Gemba activity for root cause analysis/countermeasure implementation.
  • Engage in continuous improvement through cycling Plan Do Check Action (PDCA) for area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent related experience.
  • 2-8 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Manufacturing process knowledge (stamping, welding, assembly, material flow, electronics, injection molding, paint, casting, machining, etc.).
  • Honda systems knowledge (NARS/CMS/GPCS).
