Responsibilities
- Advance our ability to improve supply chain stability with a single and efficient regional mindset.
- Lead NA Crisis mitigation and countermeasure for OEM Suppliers and manage supplier performance.
- Participate in broad scope projects and handle complex supplier situations.
- Collaborate with Suppliers and other Honda Business Units to achieve supplier stability.
- Minimize supplier touchpoints through optimizing activity.
- Summarize each supplier situation including issue, impact, root cause, and countermeasures.
- Initiate/support situation appraisal and analysis of a supplier crisis on a specific part or assembly process.
- Coordinate and support implementation of immediate corrective action plans at critical suppliers.
- Support communication, interaction, and summary reviews with supplier and HDMA Management.
- Complete reporting and Gemba activity for root cause analysis/countermeasure implementation.
- Engage in continuous improvement through cycling Plan Do Check Action (PDCA) for area of responsibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent related experience.
- 2-8 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Manufacturing process knowledge (stamping, welding, assembly, material flow, electronics, injection molding, paint, casting, machining, etc.).
- Honda systems knowledge (NARS/CMS/GPCS).
