Ontic’s Chatsworth, CA, site specializes in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence. With over 1,300 employees across four time zones and seven sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and are continuing to grow at pace. Our team is looking for a Supplier Performance Specialist to join them. You will report to the Supplier Performance Manager and will have an hybrid work structure in Chatsworth, CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus. Alternate work experience will be considered in place of degree.
  • Proven experience in supplier performance management within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace supply chain processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant software tools and systems for data analysis and reporting.
  • This is a Hybrid position. 70% travel/on the field.
  • Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
  • This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
  • To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person ” as defined by 22. C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.

  • Manufacturing and/or Automotive industry experience would be considered as well.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a robust system for monitoring supplier performance against key metrics, including quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to identify areas of improvement and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Analyze supplier performance data to identify trends, areas of concern, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate comprehensive reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and proposing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement improvement plans to address performance gaps and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, acting as the primary point of contact for performance-related matters.
