About The Position

The Supplier Development Manager at Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope (OBE) is responsible for leading and managing supplier performance, focusing on continuous improvement in quality, delivery, productivity, and service. This role involves collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams to develop robust processes and ensure effective communication, ultimately enhancing OBE's operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or other technical field.
• Six Sigma certification desirable.
• 5 years in Quality, Manufacturing, or Operations, with a background in Supplier Quality or Supplier Development preferred.
• Command of quality systems, methods, and practices with a track record of improvement.
• Experience in operational problem solving and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
• Collaborative and data-based approach to achieving objectives.
• Proven communication skills: respectful, accurate, clear, and concise.

Responsibilities

• Drive the creation of objective supplier scorecards tailored to customer needs, including robust measurement processes.
• Establish and maintain a visit schedule with key suppliers, auditing process controls, manufacturing capabilities, and lean maturity.
• Publish assessment reports outlining non-conformities and opportunities, and work with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
• Participate in Management Business Reviews with key suppliers.
• Assess prospective new suppliers against their quality systems, technical expertise, production capacity, and risk.
• Formalize processes for supplier product approval and engineering change requests.
• Lead supplier compliance and auditing for risk management and sustainability initiatives.
• Manage high-impact supply chain issues, ensuring fair engagement with suppliers and driving issues to conclusion with root cause analysis.
